DIDACTICS

From 1983 Leonetto and Elena Tintori's home-studio becomes a workshop where mural painting techniques are taught.
The attempt of Leonetto was to form restorators with a practical knowledge of fresco technique and to rescue this knowledge applying it to a modern artisitic expression.

" This will not be a school intended as an institution where there's a teacher and students, but a place for experimentation and work where teaching comes from a dialogue between the master and the student and becomes ars maieutica to understand the limits of attitude, enthusiasm and learning. It will be a space where experimentation and learning will form – like in the Renaissance workshops -new experts, technically and artistically trained.”(Leonetto Tintori).

Leonetto wanted to transmit his passion towards sculpture, entrusting the teaching of this subject to Master Salvatore Cipolla, a well known and brave artist who directed the Ceramic art courses at Vainella for more than 10 years.

"In Vainella's wild green, forest, countryside, garden, the Ceramic art free course blooms and grows with his spontaneous nature and unadverted need, side by side with the Laboratorio per Affresco. Free in every sense, with no age limit or any artistic or cultural preparation needed, located in a modest space, but with no limits on its horizon."(Leonetto Tintori).
